The person behind the practice

About Rowan.

A lifelong connection with nature.
A wish to offer care.

Hello! I’m Rowan, the person behind Jolly Druid. My work as a Spirit Healer grew out of a lifelong connection with nature, years of spiritual exploration, and a wish to share the comfort I’ve found through my relationships with plant spirits.

When I was a child, I would ask the trees for permission before entering their woods. I’d spend hours wandering among them, feeling welcome and perfectly at home. That connection with the natural world has stayed with me throughout my life.

My desire to help others through healing began early, too. As a young Christian, I was inspired by the stories of Jesus healing others and volunteered in my church’s healing rooms. My beliefs have evolved considerably since then, but that desire to offer care has remained.

For more than twenty years, I’ve studied and practiced spirituality. That exploration has included changing beliefs, questions, and skepticism. I don’t have an answer to every spiritual question, and I don’t expect anyone who comes to me to share all my beliefs.

Throughout that journey, my connection with Mother Earth has guided me. I see her as our Mother and Goddess, and I believe that caring for her begins with recognizing that we belong to the natural world.

I also spent more than a decade studying medicinal herbalism. Over time, my relationship with plants became something much more personal.

To me, plants aren’t simply living things. They’re living beings.

Through years of meditation and spiritual practice, I’ve come to experience plant spirits as individuals with their own personalities, preferences, and ways of relating to us. They’ve become dear companions, and spending time with them is a treasured part of my life.

In my own meditation, these relationships have soothed and comforted me. I experience that as healing for my spirit. On difficult days, that connection has helped me find calm and the strength to keep going. It’s one of the reasons I created Jolly Druid.

Through Spirit Healing, I hope to share some of that care with you.
